Papa

Predictably, I am the Papa of this family. Despite a complete lack of teaching credentials or any published works, I am convinced that you should read my informative blog entries. I have oodles of life experience. A sampling of my curriculum vitae reveals a diverse array of entry level jobs in agriculture, construction, gardening, customer service, sales, maintenance, and data entry. I know a little something about everything, and follow directions well. The biggest benefit my lack of expertise offers as a writer is that I know what it feels like to be in the dark. If you need something explained in simple terms, you can trust me to deliver because simple terms are the limit of my understanding.

On a more serious note, I really have done a little bit of everything working numerous odd jobs since I was fifteen years old. I grew up here in Oakland, and decided after falling off the tree that I did not mind where I fell. College lured me away for awhile, but not far. I spent the ’90’s in California’s Central Valley, in and out of school while working a few agricultural jobs. Ultimately I fell into a career of web page production, and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Landscape Architecture. The dot com boom pulled me back to San Francisco, and held my interest for awhile. It truly was a good experience, and an exciting time to live in the Bay Area. Nevertheless, I was eventually bored by making web pages, and rather than move up – as is my wont – I moved laterally into landscape construction, attracted by all the practical skills I would learn in the process.

And now brimming with all this general knowledge, I feel compelled to blog about it.
