I am a stay at home mom who cares for her toddling little boy and doting husband. I enjoy knitting, reading, gardening, the idea of self-sufficient living (read Urban Amish tags), being a mom, cooking, baking, hiking, gazing out at the ocean for hours, interior design (antiques/baroque), contemplative prayer (Catholic spiritual practice), and last but certainly not least, blogging! Despite all of these “back to basics” interests, I am committed to living a somewhat rustic life in an urban environment. Moving from my native Manhattan to California, an agricultural state, has already brought me one step closer to living a more bountifully fulfilling and nourished lifestyle.
